Relevant Object (レリヴァント・オブジェクト＝ 価値あるもの) は、主に北欧生まれの家具・陶磁器・オブジェなど、暮らしに関わる実用芸術作品（ファンクショナルアート）の収集と、空間演出を専門にした ギャラリーです。アートとデザイン、それをとりまく環境がひとつに融合するプラットフォ ームを実現しています。時代の変遷や技術の進化を経てもなお洗練された輝きを放ち、人々を魅 了し続ける製品を取り扱っています。

過去の「価値あるもの」に命を吹きこみ、現代にふたたび生かしたい。そんな思いで厳選された 作品たちは、取りまく者を過去へといざない、さらには未来へと導きます。熟練したマイスター の手仕事が生み出す希少価値はきわめて高く、その希少性こそが製品をラグジュアリーたらしめ る大切な一要素になっているのです。

Relevant Object specializes in the collection and placement of original works of art, including furniture, ceramics and objects related to the home, generally of Nordic origin. We are a platform for the convergence of art, design and its relation to its environment. Creations that defy time, technology and planned obsolescence, captivate us. We create opportunities for relevant objects of yesterday, to live again today. The objects we choose to surround ourselves with are a window to the past ... and the future. Distinguished by the value of the human hand, they are empirically rare, and rare is an important element of luxury.

ヴィンテージ製品を受け継ぐ立場から、価値あるものへの情熱と継承活動を通して、周囲の人々に感動と影響を与えたい、そしてコミュニティとしての連帯感を築いていきたいと願っているからです。 コレクションとは、ただその品物を入手したいという欲望には終わりません。移りゆく文化の重要な一刹那を担う作品について学んで投資し、それをみなさまに広め共有することにこそ、意義があると思っています。

As stewards, we facilitate loans from our archives, the gallery and our private collection for numerous exhibitions. Creating a sense of community over passion and conservation, inspiring those that surround us. Because, collecting is more than a desire to acquire. It’s about educating, sharing and investing in objects that have come to signify an important moment in Culture. － 心動かされる逸品との出会い －

時を経たものには、新品にはない味わいがあります。新しい製品は確かに美しいかもしれません。けれども、形あるものが歳月を重ねて遂げた変化には、その製品が歩んできた一生そのものが刻まれています。

外に目を向ければ、めまぐるしい速さで世の中は動いています。さまざまなメディアを通じて飛び 交う情熱が人々をつなぎ、感動を与え、世界はどんどん小さくなっているようです。話題の中心になるのはいつも、「何が最新なのか」ということ。次から次へと画面をスワイプし、ひとつの 製品に意識を向ける時間は数秒、長くてもせいぜい一分というところでしょう。この行き過ぎた「最新主義」を背景として、かつて建築家・職人・デザイナーの共同コミュニティが存在した手工 業の伝統の中に、「時を経ても色褪せない美しさ＝ Timelessness」という概念が見出されました。

The passing of time has an effect on objects that is not found in new things. New things are beautiful, of course. But what has changed as a tangible element of time represents the life that object has lived. Outside, the world moves at hyper speed, getting smaller and smaller as passion connects and touches us in many ways. The conversations are focused on ‘What’s New’. We are all swiping screens from one to the next, giving things a few seconds to a minute at most of our attention. Against the backdrop of ‘What’s New’, timeless- ness is establilshed in the handicraft tradition, when a community of collaboration existed among architects, craftsmen, and designers.
